The

Guitar Across Styles

festival was founded in 1998. The main reason to found this festival was the absence of any guitar festival in Prague, in a city, where many world famous guitarists came from within the last 30 years.
 
Since there already exist exclusively classical guitar festivals in The Czech Republic, the main thought of our festival is to present more genres played with various styles on the accoustic guitar.
 
Apart from the distinguished guitarists from many countries we also give a chance to students from the Czech music schools to present themselves at one of the festival concerts.
 
The concerts take place in various concert halls mainly in Prague but also in other cities of our republic and Germany. The founder and up to now the chief dramaturg of the festival is Stanislav Barek. On the dramaturgy also participate Pavel Steidl (Czech guitarist living in Holland) and Peter Finger (Germany).
